ICT Reflection
In the 21st
century the ICT has become the most integral tools in our day to day life. Even
in the teaching profession without the use of ICT the teaching learning-
learning becomes a waste of time, resources and meaningless. So, in order to
meet such important purpose the ministry of education has included this module
(ICT) in the B.Ed course for both the pre-service and in-service programme to
learn and apply the most basic and important skills on integration of ICT in
our teaching subjects.
Covid19 pandemic
has become a blessing in disguise at least for the teachers and students
regarding the usage of ICT.During such situation the schools are compelled to close
down to safe oneself and others. Leading the teaching-learning process takes
place continuously through different modes of ICT.Both the teachers and students
got opportunities to explore and implement the new ICT knowledge.
In an initial
stage both the teachers and students came across lots of obstacles to
familiarize the new system of teaching-learning through ICT especially the
lower classes.Infact this occurred due to sudden close down of schools which
gave us little or no time at all to orient about the usage of ICT for teaching
–learning purpose. But gradually both the parties came into common consensuses
accepting the failure and success of new system of teaching-learning.
During the
process of teaching-learning through ICT we came across lots of challenges,
such as net work accessibility, smart phones, sharing of phone in the family,
financial supports for recharging for calls and ICT knowledge for teaching-learning
as most of our students come from uneducated family back grounds. But now the
scenario is changing with drastic improvements from all with better
understanding and cooperation. Now the only problem is with the SIM users as we
couldn’t guide and assess their works.
